An urgent Message to the church

*Disclaimer: I am not a Pastor, Theologian, Prophet, Teacher, etc. I hold no religious title except “Child of God.” I urge you to read the scriptures for yourself and develop your own relationship with Jesus. If you don’t read a word of what is written below, I encourage you to at least read the provided Bible verses. Before reading them, ask God for understanding, clarity, and to help you apply them to your life. If you struggle with unbelief, pray: God “help my unbelief” (Mark 9 v23-24). God bless you!

For the past couple of years, I have been obsessing over the end time prophecies in the Bible. It all started with me watching a documentary on the streaming platform, Prime, then the questions, curiosity, and fascination started. I read through the book of Revelation, Daniel, and various scriptures in the Bible that discuss the end time prophecies; read through Bible commentaries, watch various teachings and sermons on the subject…..just pure obsession! A couple weeks ago, before I went to bed, I prayed and asked the Lord to speak to me. I was eager to hear from Him about my life, my purpose, and pretty much anything. When I was sleeping I had a dream, except it was not a typical dream with images; everything looked solid gray but I heard an audible voice asking me to “tell the people to come out of her [“her” meaning worldliness and sin], to choose today whom they will serve, to stop compromising and being lukewarm.” I have since had another dream where I was in the car at a left turning lane waiting for the green light, when somehow, I began to watch or listen to an interview of a popular Gospel artist. The interviewer asked her about Jesus and she was embarrassed to speak of Him for fear of political incorrectness and criticism. Then, another interview started where a famous celebrity, who was not Christian, came on, using a very loud megaphone up in the clouds, repeating over and over that “Jesus is coming back!” The sound was so loud that it reverberated in the whole city. My interpretation of that dream is since professing Christians are too ashamed to preach and live the gospel, God is raising up new believers who are loyal, true, and faithful to proclaim His word. My assignment became evident at that point: to tell everyone to repent because Jesus is coming back.

The end time prophecies are controversial because Theologians, and Christians in general, cannot agree on the rapture. Some believe there is no rapture, some believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, others post-tribulation rapture, and everything in between. I personally believe in the pre-tribulation rapture, but it’s neither here nor there. Regardless of what our stances are regarding the rapture, end time prophecies, Christianity, or Jesus, one thing holds true…we must repent because Jesus is coming back, whether we believe it or not. When He comes back is irrelevant if we’re not ready. We must prepare our hearts, by: accepting Jesus as the King of our lives, confessing our sins, turning away from said sins (with the help of the Holy Spirit since we cannot do it ourselves), getting baptized by immersion, and surrendering our lives to Him through faith (Acts 2 v38-40, Acts 3 v19-21, Luke 13 v1-5, Matthew 4 v17, Romans 3 v23-26, John 1 v10-13, Romans 10 v9-10, Romans 6, 1 Corinthians 6 v9-11, 12-20, Hebrews 11 v6, Ephesians 2 v1-10, Proverbs 3 v5-6, Philippians 4 v6-7, Revelation 3 v15-22).

I feel so strongly that the dreams I had were intended more for those who profess to love Jesus with their mouths but live lifestyles that are contrary to Him and what He stands for…the backslidden, lukewarm Christians. It’s time to get it together because even if Jesus does not return for another century, tomorrow is not promised. Have you seriously considered where you would spend eternity if you were to take your last breath right now?

A time is coming, and is already here for many Christians around the world, where we Christ followers worldwide will be forced to choose between Jesus and the world. Choosing Jesus is not without consequences, for as the Bible says, because He was hated and persecuted, so will those who choose to follow Him (John 15 v18). Are we willing to stick with Jesus even unto death (Matthew 24 v9)? The times we are living in are evil and will only worsen, just as in the days of Noah (Ephesians 5 v15-16, Matthew 24 v36-51, Genesis 6, 7, 8, 9). People are becoming and have already become cold hearted, lovers of themselves, and are rejecting Jesus (2 Timothy 3 v 3-5). The Lord says to REPENT! REPENT before it’s too late! Sin and unbelief are not worth your soul. Preventing persecutions, torture, hate, slander, and even death of the body (by not choosing Jesus) are not worth losing our souls over. The things and people of the world and what they have to offer are not worth losing eternal life in heaven with Jesus over….they are all passing, they are vanity (Romans 8 v18, Ecclesiastes 1 v2)! We are in the times where we can no longer afford to play both fields, Straddle the fence, be one foot in and one foot out…we must choose today whom we will serve (Jesus or the devil). The Bible says do not fear those who can kill the body but have no power to kill the soul (Matthew 10:28, Isaiah 41 v10)….those who slander our names for Jesus’ sake, or mistreat us, “cancel” us….and do all sorts of evil against us because of Jesus; do not fear for they are not our God. Do not let the fear of people cripple us from choosing Jesus or from proclaiming His truth (Proverbs 29 v25, 2 Timothy 1 v7, Romans 8 v18-39). Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, our King, Savior, Deliverer, and Redeemer until He calls us home (Hebrews 12: v2).

For those of us who have chosen to fully walk with Jesus, may the Lord give us strength and boldness to continually declare His goodness and warn the lukewarm Christians and those who don’t know Jesus to denounce sin and walk uprightly in the Lord (Isaiah 40 v29, 1 John 4 v17-19). Unfortunately, the door of salvation in Jesus will not remain open forever, it will one day close, so take advantage of the time you have now to accept His calling, before it is too late. No one knows the day or hour of our death or Jesus’ return so let us be proactive now in choosing and living for Jesus; because once we take our last breath, the window of time for salvation will close and heaven will no longer be an option (Hebrews 9 v27, Matthew 24 v 1-36, 1 John 4 v1-6, Matthew 12 v33-37, James 4 v13-17, Ecclesiastes 3 v16-17). Those who have ears to hear, let them hear (Mark 4 v9). When you hear the word of the Lord, do not harden your heart. Let us pray for repentance for ourselves, our loved ones, our nation, our world (Acts 3 v19, 2 Timothy 2 v25, Romans 2 v4, Hebrews 3: v7-8, 12-15, Psalms 95 v7-8, Matthew 3 v1-3) .

For as God is loving, He is also wrathful and will one day come to righteously judge us for our misdeeds and everything we have ever said or done (Romans 1 v18-32, Ephesians 5 v1-7). When you are standing there before God to account for your sins, wouldn’t you want to hear “all is forgiven because you accepted and lived for Jesus?” Jesus loves us so much that He died for our sins so that we may have life eternally…such a beautiful gift (John 3:15-21, 1 John 4 v7-16). Jesus would never force Himself on us or force us to accept such a wonderful free gift; we must choose Him for ourselves. Aren’t you tired of carrying the heavy burdens of sin? Come to Jesus so He may give you rest (Matthew 11 v28-30)! He loves you more than you will ever know (1 John 4 v17-19). It doesn’t matter what you have done or said in the past, He is willing to make all things new, forgive, and erase your past sins if you will accept Him and surrender your life to Him (Romans 8 v1-8, Revelation 21 v3-8). He is willing to meet you where you are and will transform your heart and life in Him (Psalms 51 v10, 2 Corinthians 5 v17, Ezekiel 36 v26, Romans 12 v2, Philippians 1 v6, Luke 6 v43-45, Psalms 139 v23-24, Galatians 2 v20). What have you got to lose? Your soul and eternal life!!! ACCEPT JESUS AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM TODAY! This is urgent!

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Create in me a clean heart and purify me. Please forgive me for my sins, those I know of as well as those I do not know of. Help me to choose you over sin and the vanity the world offers. Help me to walk uprightly before you. I don’t always know what I’m doing but I am deciding right now to trust you and completely submit to your will. I trust you with my life, my future, and my soul. I pray for your joy and peace that passes all understanding. Give me an urgency and boldness to speak your words wherever I go and to whomever I meet, regardless of the consequences…even unto death. Lord give me a genuine love for your people and people in general. May their offenses toward me not harden my heart toward them or cause bitterness and resentment. Help me to love them like you love them. Help me to see them through your eyes. Help me to not be complacent in my walk with you. Help me to be sensitive to your voice and commands…to do as you say, in complete obedience and compliance. May I not only serve you with my lips but in spirit and in truth in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Scripture of the day:

Mark 8:34-38 NKJV

[34] When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. [35] For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. [36] For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? [37] Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? [38] For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
